Sometimes things conspire to let us know when it’s time to move, which is well demonstrated by a conversation Shannon and I had the other day.
Shannon calmly stated, “If I could rearrange the alphabet I’d move U…Cause you’re blocking the TV.”
Always talking about moving has me pretty excited and I keep thinking about this song from the movie, Madgascar:
In the case of Lost and Found we’ve been renting in our current location for nearly ten years and we have seen the challenges of renting. We are looking for more space and the opportunity to put down permanent roots. We’ve saved the community millions of dollars and we believe that a place of our own will put us in a better position long term to help even more. That said, we want to invite you to participate in a number of up coming activities to help us raise the funds we need to move.
This Saturday, weather permitting, we’re having another Car Cruise with lot’s of good food and a fifty-fifty raffle.
Thursday, August 14th from 3 PM to 10 PM, Texas Road House is donating 10% of it’s sales to Lost and Found Pharmacy.
Saturday, August 16th from 9 AM to 2 PM is our Sixth Annual Craft Show and kicks off our raffle basket fundraiser. Be sure to stop in and register for a table if you’re interested in participating in the craft show.
If you are interested in donating a basket to our Basket Raffle, please do so by the 16th of August. The raffle will begin selling tickets on August 17th and the drawing will be held on Labor Day, September 2nd at 4PM.
The tickets will be priced as follow:
1 ticket for $1
7 tickets for $5
16 tickets for $10
40 tickets for $20
All these fundraisers remind me of the time my personal account got hacked. The person that hacked me was so disappointed when he saw my balance that he started a fundraiser for me.

- Friday, July 25th, 6:30ish – 9ish, Board Game Night ~ This has long been a tradition to come in on a Friday and have fun playing games. Join us every Friday and learn a large range of games.
- Saturday, July 26th, Noon – 3PM, Car Cruise ~ Lost and Found Pharmacy will be having it’s third car cruise of the Summer along with trophies and food out on the grill.
- Saturday, July 26th, 1PM – 3PM, Tech Help ~ A handful of tech heads that like technology and would like to help you with your stuff. We can help with cell phone, tablet, and computer problems/questions. We can talk with you about the latest tech like streaming TV, home security, cyber security, etc. We can even talk about the latest tech rumors, like that Netflix and Yahoo might be merging and moving to Israel. Apparently they’ll be known as Net ‘n’ Yahoo.
- Saturday, July 26th, 7PM – 8:30PM, Bereans Group ~ This group, which is open to the public, we always discuss tough theological questions and rarely come to consensus. This time we are discussing ‘repentance’.
- Tuesday, July 29th, 7PM – 8:30PM, Bible Study ~ The end is nigh! We are studying Revelation, and are currently in chapter 21. Feel free to join our group to be a part of this study.
- Saturday, August 2nd, 11ish AM – ??, Crafty Crew ~ Our Crafty Crew is back working on lots of fun projects while spinning yarns. I’m sure they’ll have everyone in stitches. They will be here every other Saturday.
- Thursday, August 7th, 5:15 PM, Book Club ~ Our intrepid book club is reading a fantastic fiction from Andy Weir titled Project Hail Mary. I know I love this book and I hope everyone enjoys it as much as I do.
- Saturday, August 16th, 9AM – 2PM, Craft Show ~ We’ll be hosting our Sixth Annual Craft Show and kicking off our basket raffle.
Now for the part everyone always asks about, the food! Our specialty sandwich is a pizza panini, and our current soup is the Soup-er popular chicken tortilla soup. Our current specialty ice creams are Graham Central Station and Orange Blossom. Also, while it lasts, our current stuffed shake is a S’More Milkshake with marshmallows, graham crackers, milk chocolate, chocolate chips, Nutella, whipped cream and more!
