It takes over 3500 bolts to assemble a car, but it only takes one nut to spread it all across the highway. Don’t drink and drive this New Year’s Eve.

As a result we decided to offer an alcohol free venue at Lost and Found this New Year’s Eve. Starting at 6PM, despite the store being closed we will be playing board games through midnight. I know I’m going to try and convince some of those who come to play Xia: Embers of a forsaken star, and we’re going to make sure that Khan (played by Ricardo Montalbán) blows up at midnight by starting the Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan at precisely 10:25:10 PM

The other day, someone came to me saying that 2023 was such a blur?
I told them that their resolution must have been to low.

Speaking of resolutions, I’ve decided that I’m going to try and read more in 2024.

Too achieve this, I think I’m going to turn on my television’s subtitles

We also have a bunch of other activities coming up in the not too distant future:

  • Friday, December 29th, 6:30ish – 9PM, Board Game Night ~ This has long been a tradition to come in on a Friday and have fun playing games.

Be sure to bring in those new Christmas gadgets to show them off and/or ask for help.
  • Saturday, December 30th, 7PM – 8:30PM, Bereans Group ~ This group, which is open to the public, we always discuss tough theological questions. This Saturday’s topic is focused on 1 Peter 3:21 and whether or not baptism saves you.

We’ve been promoting a different game in every newsletter for the past several months. This week I want to mention an expansion to a game that I love.

Terraforming Mars: Prelude introduces the new Prelude cards. At the start of the game, each player chooses from Prelude cards that jump start the terraforming process or boost their corporation’s engine. This expansion also includes 5 new corporations and 7 new project cards that thematically fit the early stages of terraforming a new planet and can be added to the game even if you’re not using the Prelude cards; and a new solo mode where your goal is to get to 63 TR before time runs out instead of completing the global parameters.

I consider the Prelude expansion to Terraforming Mars a must have expansion, and can be combined with any other Terraforming Mars expansions or variants.

Now for the part everyone always asks about, the actual food! Our new Sandwich is a delicious tuna melt. Our soup is our loaded hash brown potato soup. Our specialty ice creams are White House Cherry and Cappuccino Crunch.

Thanks and God bless
Sean
