We are putting the **”Fun”** in **Fundraisers** over the next few weeks! *(And yes, we are also putting the “Fund” in there, because our treasurer insists we can’t pay bills with good vibes alone.)* The big one coming up quickly are two tickets to one of football’s greatest rivalries. We will be selling raffle tickets for one person to win both tickets. The drawing will be on Friday October 23rd. Raffle tickets are priced as follows:
1 ticket for $1
7 tickets for $5
16 tickets for $10
40 tickets for $20
We also want to mention that we are finishing a cookie dough fundraiser with cookie dough from the Apple Cookie & Chocolate Company.
Anyone looking to order cookie dough must do so by October 19th, and the cookie dough will be delivered November 2nd. *(Note: The surgeon general probably advises baking the dough before eating it, though what you do with a spoon in the glow of your refrigerator light at midnight is strictly between you and your conscience.)*
We also have a Spaghetti Dinner coming up at Faith Community Church on November 15th (more details coming soon), and we’ll be putting out a cookbook in time for the holidays. Soon you’ll have all our best secret recipes, minus the smoke detector going off in the background.
Now for some fun things.
- Board Game Nights:** **Every Friday starting around 6:30 PM.** Come test your friendships over Wing Span, Seven Wonders, Dead of Winter, or whatever other games are brought each week!
- Bible Studies:** **Every Tuesday and Saturday at 7:00 PM.** (Especially recommended on Saturdays to ask for forgiveness for whatever happened during Friday night’s board games.)
- Tech Group:** **Every Saturday at 1:00 PM.** Bring your broken gadgets! Our tech wizards love fixing various pieces of electronics—and we promise our strategy goes at least one step beyond *”Have you tried turning it off and back on again?”*
- Book Club:** **Thursday, November 5th at 5:15 PM.** We’ll be discussing *Star Wars: Thrawn: Alliances*. Come for the galactic strategy; stay for the debate over whether reading the book counts if you just make lightsaber noises the whole time.
- LEGO Competition:** **Saturday, November 7th at 11:00 AM.** Come show off your master-builder skills! *(Shoes are strictly required for all spectators—we take foot safety very seriously.)*
Lastly, if you’ve been waiting for a golden opportunity to throw overripe produce at me, your prayers have been answered! I will be at **Hebron this Saturday at both services**. *(Please stick to soft tomatoes—no pumpkins or canned goods!)*
