Spaghetti Dinner

Don’t spend too much time deciding if you want to come to our spaghetti dinner…
because if you do, you might be accused of pro-pasta-nating.

When you do come to our Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser be sure to get some Parmesan cheese on it. After all, it’s for the grater good! (See what I did there with the cheese grater joke. My therapist says I have a problem.)

So Lost and Found Pharmacy is holding a spaghetti dinner at Faith Community Church (located at 501 Jefferson Rd) on Saturday, November 14th from 2 PM to 6 PM. You can eat in, or carry out. The meal will consist of Spaghetti with either a marinara or alfredo sauce, a meatball, garlic knots, side salad, and either a cookie or a piece of cake. Those that eat in will also find that we have coffee, lemonade, and water. The whole meal is only $15.

Along with the meals, there will also be some raffle baskets potentially containing such rare treasures as the circa 1997 fruit cake that my father and cousin used to take turns re-gifting to each other every Christmas, a one-year supply of dental floss, and my personal favorite – a coupon for one free awkward conversation with me. The actual gift baskets will be MUCH cooler than advertised and will be drawn at the end of the event. You do not need to be present to win the baskets.

We are also working on a cookbook to sell for the holidays in both print and digital formats. Want some of our soup recipes? How about the rumored human grade dog food that we make for our dog? There will be lots of delicious options. There is a desert recipe I came across from the President of France involving coconut and pasta. It’s called Macron’s macaroon macaroni macaron (which may or may not cause diplomatic incidents).

I should talk about some of the other things we have coming up in the not too distant future:

  • Board Game Nights:** **Every Friday starting around 6:30 PM.** Come test your friendships over Wing Span, Seven Wonders, Dead of Winter, or whatever other games are brought each week!
  • Bible Studies:** **Every Tuesday and Saturday at 7:00 PM.** (Especially recommended on Saturdays to ask for forgiveness for whatever happened during Friday night’s board games.)
  • Tech Group:** **Every Saturday at 1:00 PM.** Bring your broken gadgets! Our tech wizards love fixing various pieces of electronics—and we promise our strategy goes at least one step beyond *”Have you tried turning it off and back on again?”*
  • Book Club:** **Thursday, November 5th at 5:15 PM.** We’ll be discussing *Star Wars: Thrawn: Alliances*. Come for the galactic strategy; stay for the debate over whether reading the book counts if you just make lightsaber noises the whole time.
  • LEGO Competition:** **Saturday, November 7th at 11:00 AM.** Come show off your master-builder skills! *(Shoes are strictly required for all spectators—we take foot safety very seriously.)*

Speaking of Bible Study and pasta dinners, it reminds me of a deep theological question, what do you call it when Jesus throws his Pasta at the door?
Gnocchi on Heaven’s Door. (I’m not even Catholic and someone is going to ask me to do penance for that one.)

Almost 2 weeks ago I had the opportunity to speak over at Hebron Presbyterian Church to give a quick mission update. Below is a time stamp to start the video where they asked me to come up and talk. I share a unique translation of some Bible verses and talk a little about what’s going on with our soda fountain. It is noteworthy that no one threw any produce at me.

Thanks and God bless,
Sean
